“The Abstract of Random Seriousness” works as a junction between all the published booklets of Lisa Mühleisen’s “The Shape Of Things to Come” series thus far. By abandoning the separated form of booklets, all chapters become more potent because they comment on and complement each other. This ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder) notation is a new approach to the essence of Lisa Mühleisen’s artistic agenda.

The book is the result of Lisa Mühleisen’s stay at art3 in 2016 as part of the exchange program for visual artists between the region Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes in France and the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. The program is collaboratively organized by art3 and Institut français Stuttgart.
